Who is KCCD

  • We sell bricks, books and old pictures of the State Penitentiary.

  • We are strange people who like to play golf-after dark.

  • We cheerfully work hours on end at food booths.

  • We sell donuts and have chili luncheons.

  • We raffle weekend get-a-ways, baskets of goodies, and anything else we can think of.

  • We enjoy singing with the residents of Cedar Lake Lodge during the holidays.

  • We look out for each other, coming to aid with what are needed-shelter, food, clothing and scholarships.

  • We participate in the Mountain Laurel Festival, the Sorghum Festival, County Fairs and expos.

  • We work hard to earn as much money as possible-so we can give it away!

  • We make contributions to: provide coats for children; provide books for children in Morgan County schools: provide Easter Egg Hunts; sponsor ball teams, food, clothing, and shelter for Officer-workers in need; help citizens in need; scholarships for members’ children and members themselves.

  • We care about and actively work to improve the lives of citizens through the Legislature as victim’s rights advocates and spouse abuse advocates.

  • We are professionals in every area of the criminal justice and social service Systems, trying to make a Positive difference in the lives of those we touch-and in ourselves.

  • We are citizens; city, county and state police officers, officers in local sheriff’s departments; state, federal, and private agencies working together for a better life in the Commonwealth.

  • We are line staff, supervisors and administrators.

  • We are career-minded professionals who seek to grow by developing and participating in conferences and local chapter meetings.

  • We like to smile, joke and have a good time.

  • We seek to improve our working conditions and all compensations through legislative action.

  • We work with life and death situations daily and often find the routine to be the calm before the storm.

  • We are painfully aware that there are children being abused, hungry and ill equipped to learn-and in need of love.

  • We work in the community, on the streets, in the courtroom, in institutions for children and for adults and in agency and corporate offices. The light is never ending because the needs are always present and changing.

  • We make necessary changes to meet the challenges of those needs.
